As early as Wednesday, March 3, the SpaceX team will attempt a high-altitude flight test of Starship serial number 10 (SN10) – our third high-altitude suborbital flight test of a Starship prototype from SpaceX’s site in Cameron County, Texas. Similar to the high-altitude flight tests of Starship SN8 and SN9, SN10 will be powered through ascent by three Raptor engines, each shutting down in sequence prior to the vehicle reaching apogee – approximately 10 km in altitude. SN10 will perform a propellant transition to the internal header tanks, which hold landing propellant, before reorienting itself for reentry and a controlled aerodynamic descent.

All four flaps are actuated by an onboard flight computer to control Starship’s attitude during flight and enable precise landing at the intended location. SN10’s Raptor engines ...

It looks like CGI, so incredible it’s hard to believe it’s real.
We just witnessed history being made.
Congrats Elon and spaceX !!
Incredible. Congrats to everyone working on this!
Feels like I‘m watching a real-life Sci-Fi movie 🍿
HOLY SHIT THEY LANDED IT??!!
Hallelujah!
Everyone: SN10, Do you want to land, or explode?
MARS, HERE WE GO!
is like that point in dragon ball z where the villain hits the main character with a huge blast and thinks he won only to be surprised when the dust clears and they're still standing
I can't get over the fact, that they are acting like this isn't even a big deal. Like just casually upload it uncut with only a timer... You guy are legends! What a time to be alive!
My man Elon just did the world’s highest bottle flip challenge with a whole ass starship
Life will be multi-planetary very soon!
We are living in the future
YES YES YES YES YES...I'm not crying - you're crying...
“The ultimate bottle flip challenge”
Absolute Insanity, good Job SpaceX!
I Quit my Career in Ant Farming, an became a Full Time Space X fan!
Can we take a second to appreciate that this is literally something historic that people will learn about as a turning point in Rocket Science in like 100 years from now and we all could watch that stuff live on YouTube?
SN10: Successful landing
“Any landing you can walk away from is a good one” (Alan Shepard)
Many people don't even realise that it's history being made. And you're witnessing it on your 5 inch phones!
SN10 after landing be like:
Congratulations Starship 🎉
Freaking epic!
After seeing all the crashes, this was so satisfying to watch.
Congratulations...always best wishes from india !
made by humans | one race | Earth gang
It would be interesting to see this land in Martian or Lunar regolith. The engine is powerful enough to create a tiny crater under it as the rocket lands, which would naturally create a lot of opportunities for the rocket to flip over.
Do you want a landing, or an explosion?
SN10 has dethroned SN8 as the most spectacular thing I've ever seen.
i love how alll space x rockets look like a five year old drew them but they still work
For those who didn't know, SN10 explode 5 minutes after this live stream ended.
It looks something straight out of a sci-fi movie.
Every time this thing drops out of the sky horizontally my brain visualizes three Kerbals at the controls all screaming in terror but with big smiles.
We got a successful landing and a boom. Everyone wins
The camera angle at
😮...😦 uhhhh, so I would personally like to apologise to CGI artists on every movie I have ever watched, where a rocket has been animated and I scoffed at the screen.
The landing shot from underneath is so Hollywood perfect, it’s absolutely surreal.
Mars (and beyond), here we come!
My God I felt like a little kid when this landed. Have not been so enthusiastic in a long while. GREAT JOB SPACEX!!! 🔥 🚀
Just posting for the future Martian schoolchildren watching this as a history assignment
When real life is more fascinating than movies.
It feels like everybody assumed this kind of thing was impossible, so they just never bothered to try. Then SpaceX shows up and is like "Fuck it, hold my beer."
Can we just thank the tons of people that made this happen? These people are pushing us to the future!! Lets go spaceX!!!!
“And then the rocket fucking landed itself.”
To boldly go where no Starship has gone before: The Landing pad
I like how he everytime says shutting down the engine this is intentional
Ahh yes 50's sci fi. Fat shiny rockets taking off and landing on their tails. It turns out they had it right!
When you landed 4 minutes ago and then remember your a starship prototype
It is nice to hear John Insprucker commentating on the early StarShip flights - just like when he did it for Falcon 1. He's everyone's favorite space dad.
Martians be like:
Every time I see these starships I expect to see Buck Rodgers little robot.
Can’t wait till we unlock that Mars expansion pack dlc
Wo got everything today:
I think that hard landing caused the problem that made it explode on the pad.
Anyone else kinda tearing up at the fact that THE craft that will make humans interplanetary just landed back on earth successfully?
"It's impossible!"
The aliens are probably watching this being like “Hey guys, they’re getting close. We should probably do something?” 👽
I yelled "no way!" when that thing turned upright during it's landing
Elon: our goal is to relaunch in less than 24 hours.
Who else came here after seeing that the rocket exploded 8 minutes after the landing
Great work! Not so "soft" landing, but this mission passed!
for anyone who doesn't know: 10 mins later after landing, SN10 has explode.
When you drive a modern car and look back 100 years, imagine what this will look like in 100 years.
It's still weird to seeing what looks like a grain silo just chillin in the sky
Elon musk right now must be like “they called me a madman”
I will be back when this is recommended to me in 7 years.
Incredible! Can't wait for a time when Starship will take off and land regularly like airplanes do.
"Third times the charm" - A quote the Martians will remember forever.
i have never seen anything that looks more like sci-fi movies than this
"YOU REMEMBER BACK WHEN SPACEX LANDED THE FIRST STARSHIP!!!!!"
as Obi-Wan would say: “another happy landing”
SN10/SNX was like these heroes that die at the end of the movie
people who wanted a successful landing
I love how the rocket looks like what a person from the 1920s would expect a rocket today to look like
The flip manuever looks straight from a sci-fi movie. This is our generations apollo project. So exciting.
the guy sounds like hes enthusiastically playing KSP
When the smoke cleared and it was just standing there, chills.
I like it that they started adding more of those "this is intentional" for idiots like me 😀
Werner Von Braun: "OK, looks good. Send it to London."
Just amazing!
Congrats Elon and spaceX!!
In a world gone mad, it's good to see the most incredible engineering taking place before our eyes!
That flip was something else. Makes me excited for the future
"The madlad actually did it"
"Great we can get the engines, intact, to analyse this time!"
This rocket looks like something out of Flash Gordon.
When it lands back the footage looks so cinematic...almost unbelievable.
Now you just need to remember to exit starship quite quickly after you land on Mars lol
Everyone: IT LANDED IN ONE PIECE
They did it. The freaking legends.
If you look carefully you can see it bounced upon touchdown, probably that's how the mini landing legs got damaged.
Somewhere watching the broadcast on mars
SpaceX speedrunning Mars Any%
watch this with Daft Punk - Contact playing in the background
Amazing, I'm excited 😈🔥😈🔥
The fact that it landed with an engine leak and crappy landing legs is crazy.
The rocket actually exploded a few minutes later after SpaceX closed the live stream, but still this is a huge achievement...
SpaceX stream: ends
SN10 was so happy that it landed that it decided to explode itself as a celebration
SpaceX: Have you landed?
"Where's the Kaboom? There's supposed to be an Earth shattering kaboom."
“This is intentional”
I just realized that these test flights are the most exciting sequence of events in my life....
That was one of the coolest things I ever watched, looks like a scene right out of a movie . Congrats to the entire space X team , onto SN11 !
Starships were meant to fly.
My favorite STARSHIP
Sn10: ahhh finally i can rest
This is happening so fast, i'm beginning to think that we're going to Mars in 5 years.
This just gives me goosebumps
I’d love to see the telemetry on this. Starship’S ascent from liftoff looks incredibly slow.
The way the thrusters move to balance out the rocket as it lands is super neat!
SN10 was like: "I finished my purpose now it's time to go boom boom"
Sn 10 lands without an explosion
SpaceX: aaaannd thats all folks nothing else to see here thats where the footage ends.
I never knew watching a rocket launch that isn't even manned could get the heart beating like that. Great show Spacex!
I liked it when Elon said if aliens landed with parachutes and ocean landings that we had nothing to worry about. The ones that precision land are the ones to watch out for.
SN10 was too proud to spend the rest of it's life in a museum. Godspeed, stout yeoman!
Do you all realize that this Starship is 150ft tall, the size of a 15 story building? She aint no small rocket... WOW!!!
Don't mind me. Just commenting to prove to my kids I watched this live.
Ребята, я вас искренне от всего сердца поздравляю!
It almost seems like it's not real. But it is ,and my brain is still trying to register what I watched
Sadly it exploded shortly after this video ended but an incredible feat of human ingenuity to be able to accomplish something that everyone thought couldn't be achieved.
Btw, the StarShip exploded a few minutes after it landed. The stream cuts off before it happens, so you don't see it on this video. But anyway, it's still a big accomplishment for SpaceX. Congrats!
Fact of the day: SN10 is the first Starship to fly twice !
Increasing pollution and destroying planet Earth
The height of this starship is same as pyramid...it's unbelievable how this monster flies in the sky...
"It burned off the excess propellant in a rapid fashion."
Elon is a time traveller.
It didn't explode, it was just really eager to fly again.
Maybe that's a sign to stop pursuing space exploration? It's not gonna happen in our lifetime, and certainly not in the next several generations.
Starship : Landing
Elon Musk: fraud
Farmer: the neighbours grain silos look pretty modern these days
instead of RUD... Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly, it ended up turning into a DUD... Delayed Unscheduled Disassembly......
What the fuck. It was successful!!! It just happened to explode about 15 minutes after it landed.
There should have been a “one more thing” after the outro! Lol! But fantastic work done here!! Go Spacex!!
I know this is real, but cmon the quality was so good it actually looked like cgi.
Bruh when the engines reignited and flipped the rocket, it legit looked straight out of a movie
I'll honestly be proud to sit and talk to my grandkids in 50 years time about living through and witnessing the Elon musk era. Legend ❤️
this rocket looked like that kind of rocket ship they would make for movies back in the 50s.
Okay. Quit spending money on this nonsense.
The first abort was technically a wow for me with that tremendous precision of shutting down all the 3 monsters instantaneously at just T-.1s without any damages or anything to spend time on. This one left me speechless.
I like how as Starship approached Apogee, you could hear the host talking to himself. I guess he forgot to mute his mic? I just thought it was funny.
To quote Star Trek in 1979
"How did it feel to fail 1,000 times?" Edison replied, "I didn’t fail 1,000 times. The light bulb was an invention with 1,000 steps."
You do understsnd that the pollution from this is minuscule compared to everything else right... The scienfic breakthroughs that come through space exploration and expermentstion outweigh the minscule pollution compared to other industries.
man that shot filmed from below when it flipped vertical seriously could have been cgi it was that unreal. So cool
Elon Musk,wow!
"Starships were meant to fly" they always say
This was the 3rd time I saw a rocket flying near my hometown but this time I heard the sound of the SN10 for the first time in my life
I do not believe this stuff is real. This is crazy. The engineering in this is metal
THIS is so unreal that I'm almost convinced it is CGI 😅
When watching these streams, the most crazy part is thinking “Wow, this is genuinely happening right now as I watch!”
RIP all the people who were listening at full volume
History in the making, Congratulations SpaceX and Starship teams, paving the way forward for Humanity!!!
As a child of the 60’s growing up with NASA and all the missions I am in awww. Seeing it happening again has filled my heart with pride. Way to go SpaceX. Keep up the good work.
You realize that their will probably have to be 50-100 successful landings before 1 person steps foot onto one of these thing? The falcon9 has had 111 launch attempts sense 2010 and just had its first ride with passengers in November.
I wish it was possible to like this video multiple times..
The explosions about 8 minutes after took me by surprise and it jumpscared me pretty hard while watching one of LabPadre Cams.
They "forgot" to show the explosion after ....
They forgot to include the explosion after the stream ended. Lol.
Impossible until proven other wise. This is why SpaceX is like no other.
Elon is the only billionaire who is actually using his billions for a better and exciting future.
I hate that this is happening while we’re dying from a rampant, culture-destroying illness on Earth
"starships were meant to fly" nicki
Stuff like this used to be science fiction and now its science fact. Kinda reminded me of that old scifi puppet tv show "Thunderbirds". Amazing!
Слава ракетостроителям США ,,,, Здравомыслящие Русские радуются за Вас ! Королёв прости нас,,,,
So before anyone decides to buy and fly on one of these things, I think @elonmusk should take the inaugural flight. Let’s see him show confidence in his rocket first, before anyone else jumps aboard to die
Can you imagine showing this to someone 100 years ago? We will be on Mars anytime soon
I wouldnt call the landing successful if it exploded
- invisible man smoking a cigar
God that landing was sexy
So elon, the guy who hates hydrogen powers his rocket with hydrogen.
All this money down the drain when somebody could’ve been paying off my back rent?? Bye.
